Psalm 46:1 reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Father, we come to You with heavy hearts today. The devastation of these floods has shattered lives and left so many families grieving. We lay before You the thousands still missing and the thousands newly displaced. We seek Your comfort for those mourning lost loved ones. Grant wisdom to the leaders and rescue teams working tirelessly to save lives and provide aid. Fill their hearts with hope, and may their efforts bring light where there is darkness. We ask for strength for survivors facing uncertainty and the uphill battle of rebuilding. Help us to stand with those in need, offering our hands and hearts in the spirit of love and service. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in this trying time. In Jesus’ name, amen.
