Tensions continue in Ukraine as U.S. negotiators discuss potential peace steps to alleviate the humanitarian crisis. As we contemplate this situation, I’m reminded of Psalm 34:14, which says, “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” In these trying times, may we all seek peace and hope for our brothers and sisters around the world.

Father, we come before You with heavy hearts. The air is thick with fear and uncertainty in Ukraine. Civilians are caught in the crossfire of nations. We can’t turn a blind eye to the anguish. Grant comfort to those who are suffering. Wrap Your arms around every family affected by conflict. We ask for wisdom for the negotiators working to de-escalate tensions. Guide their hearts and minds to find common ground. May they prioritize peace and justice over politics. Help us all to chase after peace in our own lives and communities. Remind us that hope can rise from the ashes of despair. In Jesus’ name, amen.
